Bonita Segall has been in the licensing , branding and manufacturing world for 20 years.

Bonita started HighlightLA, with zero funding and was able to use her passion, hustle and drive to triple the company in size within the first two years.

Her obsession for putting people first,always being yourself, providing exceptional customer service, optimistic leadership and  having a champion mindset is what she believes has been the secret to her success. “let builders build”. Bonita runs a company with zero micro managing and let’s people who work for her do what they do best.

She loves coming up with the next big idea, constantly looking for white space opportunities and always thinking outside the box. “

Cortney Shimchick

Vice President of Sales and Operations

Cortney Shimchick has been in the apparel industry for 14 years most recently as the buyer of Junior and Plus graphics. In this role she grew the business over 40% in just a year. She is driven by competition and always looking ahead to the next growth opportunity for the customer. She prides herself on being personable, customer oriented, and having a finger on the pulse of the industry. In her Role at Highlight La she is customer focused taking into account all individual retailer needs to help create assortments that speak to their customer base.

Jen comes with 20 years of leading CPG industry expertise in building and scaling omni-channel beauty brands. Previously SVP of C’est Moi Beauty, Head of Product Development at Beautycounter, Brand Development at Dermstore.com, and Brand Management at Freeman Beauty.

Janet Dwoskin

Vice President of Licensing

Janet Dwoskin has been in the licensing industry for 30 years. Originally from Virginia she made her way out to California 27 years ago and currently lives on the beautiful coast of Sonoma. Prior to starting Licensed Right International Inc. in 2015, Janet worked at Live Nation for 10 years as VP of Licensing where she earned her stripes in the music merchandise business.

Deborah Chanin

Account Manager

Deborah Chanin started out in the apparel industry in 1990 while attending college in Los Angeles. She brings extensive knowledge in all aspects of the garment manufacturing process. Having started out in an administrative position she transitioned into customer service and accounts receivables. Following her passion for fashion she pursued a path into the design /marketing side of the industry. She thrives on achieving a seamless experience for the customer, manufacturer and our team at Highlight LA.

Taylor Gill Kenney

Sales and merchandising 

Taylor Gill Kenney has been polishing her skills in the apparel industry for 17+ years, starting with Abercrombie & Fitch/Hollister Co., and most recently as the Buyer of Denim, Shorts, Pants, Jackets &Outerwear for Junior, Plus, and ecommerce channels for one of the top fashion retailers in the industry, where she showed double-digit growth year over year.  She attributes this success to her attention to detail in all things Denim and to her role in its production from concept to manufacturing. Her major focuses arestrategy execution, leadership, line development and design, as well as trend analysis.
With the needs of the customer as her primary focus, Taylor takes pride in not only building new but also in maintaining outstanding relationships; she continues to be on the forefront of not only the latest and upcoming Denim trends but also trends across all categories.
In her current role at Highlight LA she uses all of her varied experiences and knowledge to focus on tailoring product and assortments based on each customer’s individual and specific business needs.

Laura Scott

Vice President of Production and Brand Development

Owner and founder of the LULU Group in 2013, Laura has worked in a variety of different roles across the fashion spectrum: from large corporations to small businesses. She started her career in Merchandising but transitioned to design & development, focusing on domestic production capabilities. She joins forces with Highlight LA with the sole purpose of building quality, custom, private label products. From ideation to manufacturing, Laura has a hand in every aspect of the creative process, she is dedicated to client, seasoned or up-and-coming, will receive undivided, unwavering attention from concept to final collection.
